The Artist
David Sheffield lives in a world where where he draws and sketches 12 hours a day, every day, non stop.As a Professional Artist, he has spent the last 55 years living and breathing his passion for art.
Entirely self taught, David started bringing his art to life through fabrics and t-shirts selling them at the local markets, which quickly turned into the successful resort wear brand Anoriginals in Australia and the USA.
He then played an important role introducing ‘Live Art’ into the Gold Coast over 30 years ago facilitating the creation a 10 storey mural in Surfers Paradise and the iconic Eagle sculpture at Kirra Hill in Coolangatta. David then went on to paint many murals across the Gold Coast commissioned by Energex, Telstra, Gold Coast City Council and numerous local business’s.
His most recent murals were created with his daughter Jessy at various mining villages in North Queensland.
These mural’s spread over 100 meters long and showcased the story of Australia’s settlement, Aboriginal Myth’s & Stories and The History of Evolution. When David is not drawing with his led pencils you will find him making friends at his local coffee shop, wandering Fleay’s Wildlife Park and spending time with his daughters. His latest project is transforming his led pencil drawings into custom wallpaper to be sold all over the world.
